Indian politics refers to the activities of the political parties associated with the governance of india as a country .

A politician is person who is professionally involved in politics .

it is to be said politics is the art and technique of government . Every idea contains an intention, similarly political idea also contains intention for implementation, but recently people observe negative sense.

The politician, in any country is a class apart from all others but , the indian politician is a class apart even from the politicians of the world. It would be very interesting to study why this class s a class by itself.

The special characteristic of the indian politician is that , though he is on highest rung of the social order but, unlike other politicians f the world . he is also on the lowest rung of discipline and character. it is this feature f the indian politician makes him a class apart from the politician of the world .

The indian politicians is a bundle of complexes, serving the society on paper and serving himself in all reality he , being elected to sere the people he confines himself to serving himself que class apart from all and his posterity . it is this attitude of the class that makes it a hateful and unique class apart from all others. 

It is a fact known very well even to the uneducated masses of india that , the politician remembers his people and his constituency just about once in five years, when he goes there to beg for votes. when the election of the state or he centre is round the corner the politician is seen giving verbal proof of his love for the people .

Once the work of reaching the position is compete he never looks back , to peep into the condition of the people who helped him get the chair. besides  extreme selfishness ,the indian politician is one who is most corrupt in the breed of politician of the world . he can do anything at all to achieves his personal objectives. 

As for politician morality and the standards of conduct among politicians, the less said the better. the loud professions and promises of politicians of all ranks are a mockery of the system they represent.

Each election brings  out a long story of money changing hands,  of loyalties beings bought and sold like commodities in  the open market of betrayal of principal for personal gains, of going back on commitments almost by sunset the same day, and of crossing over and switching from one party to another, depending upon the weightage each commands and the prospects of power and privilege each holds .

many politicians cry from the housetops that they would fight authoritarianism throughout their life, and yet they have no hesitation in switching support and selling their vote in the legislature to the highest bidder .

it is even true to say that, despite the progress of science and of the process of enlightenment, ours is not a critical age, nor the age of reason and rationality. rather, it is the age of cheap politics, of partisanship , nepotism and selfishness of the highest degree. For most of the evils in the social system, the responsibility is that of the politicians. with the career of a politician becoming so very lucrative and paying , more and more people are getting interested m this profession, and more and more political parties are being born . even with the mushroom growth of politicians parties, the service of the people is nowhere in the agenda of these new or old politicians.

The  latest trend of the nexus the politician businessman and the bureaucrat makes indian politician a very strong entity to reckon with has, in this nexus the combined strength of money power and muscle power, what more can anyone aspire for?
